Two historic houses, The Mary Starr House and the Minnie Darrow House, at Heritage Reserve Park (5120 Young Road, Stow, Ohio) were repainted in the fall. Several Stow Historical Society long time members, along with past and present members of Boy Scout Venturing Crew 2177, came together to restore the buildings. Family members of all ages participated in this project which took place over two weekends. Thanks go to Houston and Meredith Morgan; Bryan, Tammie, and Natalie Menke and Annalise Arther (the littlest helper); Tom Delaney, Andy Foreman, Nancy Redmond, and Tim Burns. All worked together scraping, taping, and painting to update the exteriors and preserve the buildings for the future. Stop by Heritage Reserve Park to walk around and observe the newly painted homes, as well as the newly sided and re-roofed Heritage House and the one-room Stewart School House.
