I remember when we got to New York grandmother had a brother at Riverhead, Long Island,, and we went to see them. After making them a visit we started for Ohio and came to Cleveland. There we took a canal boat for Akron, where we got teams to take us to Aunt Furber’s and Aunt North’s, in Stow Township on the Cuyahoga River east of Munroe Falls. We arrived there sometime in February 1844. Father and grandmother together ? a farm of 90 acres of a Mr. Kelso with a double log house on same, where we moved in April. #stowhistory #stowhistorical #edwinaseason #stowohiosoldier #stowtownship.
