As many of you know, lifelong Stow resident and Stow Historical Society member Fred Long passed away January 9, 2017. Fred wrote two books about Stow and generously signed over the proceeds to the SHS. He worked hard to preserve the history of Stow, the town he loved. During the past few years he donated his collection of Stow memorabilia, including photographs, documents, small artifacts, scrapbooks, clippings, and family histories to Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library. A small exhibit about Fred and his collection is on display at the library and will remain in place for the next month. It is located in the Local History section behind the Information Desk.
