2016 Harvest Festival a Success!

Our two day Harvest Festival was a great success thanks to our craft vendors, craft demonstrators, and dedicated volunteers who maintain and greet visitors to our historic buildings. Special thank you to Mr. Shuman of Shuman Plumbing who drove his tractor transporting attendees on a hay wagon donated by Ron Marhofer. Stow Parks and Recreation provided free pumpkins to all little pumpkin painters, the Morgan family provided free apple butter stirring instructions, and the Menke family brought the cute little farm animals (including a miniature pony). Cathy Flower created a beautiful exhibit on Silver Lake for the Heritage House exhibit room and attendees were impressed with the improvements to Stewart School. Many thanks are due the Boy Scouts of Troop 177 for helping vendors and Boy Scouts of Troop 273 who helped in the kitchen. Other sponsors included North Hill Donuts, Bruegger’s Bagels, and Gardener’s Pies.
