Stewart School Exhibit

During Stow Historical Society’s Harvest Festival, visitors are invited to tour Stewart School to see the progress being made on its restoration.  Also on display will be an exhibit detailing the history of Stewart School and its significance in the history of education in Stow and Munroe Falls.  The exhibit will also discuss the enduring power of the one-room schoolhouse in American culture.  Visitors will also have the opportunity to share their own memories and opinions about the history of education in a special talk-back portion of the exhibit.

Stow Historical Society received a grant from the Ohio Humanities Council to produce this display, which will be unveiled to the public for the first time at the Festival.  Join us to learn more about this fascinating aspect of community history and become a part of the ongoing story of education in Stow and Munroe Falls!

Thank you to Lisa Zevorich for writing the grant application and coordinating this project.
