Members and guests heard noted Abraham Lincoln expert Geoff Elliott discuss Lincoln’s Tragedies and Triumphs. Tragedies in Lincoln’s life included the deaths of those closest to him, failed romances, financial failures, and political losses.  Lincoln overcame these events through perseverance, determination, humor, and faith.

President John Baranek led the meeting with information regarding the upcoming election of officers. Marcia Gilmore gave the treasurer’s report and Bob Flower reported on the Old Schoolhouse Project. Boy Scout Tim Flower reported on his Eagle Scout project of landscaping the grounds around Stewart School. Tim is pictured here with SHS Board President John Baranek.
