Stow Historical Society Board of Trustees met Monday, October 13, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Stow City Hall. All trustees were present. Items on the agenda included Harvest Festival Reports and update on the Old Schoolhouse project. This year’s Harvest Festival was very successful with a steady flow of customers throughout the weekend. So many children enjoyed the pumpkin painting, we ran out of pumpkins by Sunday afternoon! Historic house tours were very popular, as was the great food. Thank yous to all involved as vendors, craft demonstrators, house guides, kitchen workers, and sales table volunteers. Special thanks to the many wonderful student volunteers and to Stow Parks and Recreation Department.
The Old Schoolhouse project is right on track with outdoor renovation completed and landscaping partially completed. Many folks stopped by during the festival to see the progress. Contact Project Director, Bob Flower, if interested in donating time or money to the project.
