Spring into the Past – a Season of New Beginnings

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go back in time and experience life as our ancestors did? Now is your chance! The Ohio Living History Society, in partnership with Stow Historical Society, is sponsoring a special event April 11th and 12th at the Mary Starr House at Heritage Reserve Park.  Each evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. guests will step back in time and join the family and friends of William and Elizabeth Meloy in their 19th century former Starr home as they celebrate the return of spring. Elizabeth’s maiden name was Season, of Stow’s Season family. Guests will enjoy an authentic supper from an American Civil War era menu centered around the recent maple sugar season.  Join in conversation, be entertained by songs, play parlor games, and more! Take this opportunity to step into Stow’s past and meet one of Stow’s Civil War era families.

Cost is $50 per person, with partial proceeds benefiting the Stow Historical Society. Space is very limited, with a maximum of eight guests per evening. For further information  please call  (234)200-OLHS(6547) or visit www.olhs.org.
